I am the editor of an online magazine for young people in Wales, and I write the clubs page for Buzz magazine. I was also the editor of Buzz from 2007-2008. You can read the December 2011 / January 2012 clubs page here.

I have also written for Mixmag, Ministry, The Big Issue Cymru and Cardiff Living (which went bust owing me £300), and have had creative writing published in Blue Tattoo and Daps: The University Of Glamorgan Creative Writing Anthology.

My current writing projects include my first novel, a short film (with a director/producer) and an episode of Supermarket Matters series two. You can listen to the episode I wrote for series one here.

I was a guitarist in the hardcore band Disco Assassins, and although I don't play anymore I still go to as many gigs as I can.

The above photo was taken in Brighton Lanes in August 2009.

Back in August I received this awesome email:

It's been ages since I've even logged in here. Today seems as good a time as any to pick up the blogging thread again, as I spent a few hours this afternoon sourcing agents to approach with my novel.

Just two days left until the closing date for entries to the Tibor Jones Pageturner Prize. At 70,000 words the book is at the lower end of the word count considered novel-length, but as the prize is representation of an 'almost completed' book I'm hopeful that the criteria focus will be on the content alrady developed.

The two days I've taken off work this week have proved as fruitful as last week's one day. I'm really pleased. In terms of word count, I sailed past 2000 words on both days, bringing me up to a total of 63,087.

The first day of the rest of my writing life proved to be very fruitful. I hammered out 3400 very tidy words of the new chapter, Tears For Tank Girl, in which one of the main characters dies.

Yesterday saw me back in the chair of pain for part 2 of my creative writing lower sleeve.

A few weeks back I went along to the Newport Centre to watch the first roller derby to be held in Wales. A work colleague was competing. It was a great evening. Read my review of it for Buzz mag by clicking the image above.

The Feb issue of Buzz is now online, which includes the clubs page what I mostly wrote. Click Phill to read it.
